Lord Huron
November 17, 2010

So many amazing musical discoveries in the last couple months!  For this post, I am delighted to share Lord Huron with you. I recently ran into an old friend, Ben Schneider, who I hadn’t seen in some time outside of Downtown Rehearsal.   We promptly exchanged our musical tales, mine of White Sea, his of his new project, Lord Huron.

To put it simply, his music is touching, and though it may sound trite, very special.  He is playing the Echoplex this friday the 19th of November as well as having a record release this Sunday at Origami Vinyl if you’re an Angeleno. If you’re not in LA, do yourself a favor and check out his music at the following links…

Well we’ve finally set sail. The live shows are upon us, and if you’re in L.A., we’d love to have you join us. A friend of White Sea, Joby Ford of the Bronx and Mariachi El Bronx, was kind enough to create some beautiful poster art for our show at Spaceland.

As a side note, it’s kind of crazy that after living in Los Angeles for 10 years, attending countless amazing shows at Spaceland but never being a performer, the club announced this week that it will no longer be called Spaceland.  I’m so happy, though it may only be symbolic, to get to play a show under the club’s soon to be old moniker before it becomes The Satellite.
